In the afternoon, take a dip in the pool, pamper yourself with a massage or relax in a hammock and enjoy a cold beer.
The comfortable guest lounge is a great place to curl up with a book from the library and play Scrabble by the fire with friends or to listen to your favourite CD. In the map room, you will find guides, maps, free access to the Internet and a guest phone.
Your hosts, Clare & Peter, are well travelled and passionate about the NZ outdoors. They offer friendly advice and will help you plan & book tomorrow's activities - from kayaking, walks & horse treks to art & wine trails.
With fine Nelson wines and a convivial atmosphere, dining at The Resurgence is not to be missed. Sip cocktails while the sun goes down and then enjoy a relaxed 4-course degustation dinner prepared from fresh local ingredients from one on New Zealand's most bountiful regions.
The 4 ensuite Lodge Rooms upstairs in the main Lodge are ideal for couples looking for a relaxed fully hosted experience with full cooked breakfasts, cocktails at sunset and gourmet dining each evening. The 5 Bush Suites, surrounded by native trees with great views over Kahurangi National Park, are are perfect for longer stays or when you want to escape the world; enjoy a leisurely breakfast hamper each morning and self-cater or dine at the Lodge in the evening.
Each Lodge Room is individual; Superior Lodge Rooms, Heaphy & Leslie-Karamea, are warm, sunny and very spacious with a queen slat / super-king bed, sofa and writing desk. Deluxe Lodge Rooms, Abel Tasman & Wangapeka are intimate and airy; each has a queen slat bed, a cosy alcove sofa and high sloping ceiling with fan. All Lodge Rooms have the same standard of luxurious modern ensuite bathroom and private balcony with views over Kahurangi National Park.
Bush Chalet & Cottage Suites are the ultimate five star nature experience. Approximately 100m from the main Lodge, secluded and self-contained with all the luxury of the Lodge Rooms plus kitchen and BBQ facilities and large sunny decks. Luxury Bush Cottages, Lonely Lake & Kiwi Saddle are very spacious open plan cottages with super-king beds and cosy fires. Superior Bush Chalets, Gouland Downs, Granity Pass & Kakapo are spacious studio units with queen slat beds.
