Opened only last year is a 10 room boutique hotel offering the perfect location to explore the sights and sounds of Auckland City. From this central city location you are only a couple of minutes walk down to Auckland's waterfront, ferry's, buses and the Britomart train station. Being in the heart of the city the Shakespeare Hotel is in the perfect place for business or leisure, surrounded by the city's main business district and key tourist attractions. Each room has it's own private bathroom and are completely renovated and decorated in light modern colours. Every room has something different to offer some have small private decks so you can take in some sun, while others have views down to Auckland's waterfront. Three bars and our own fully functioning Brewery on site, established in 1984 it was New Zealands first micro-brewery to counter the monopoly the DB and Lion Red brewing giants had across this country, to this day our learned gentleman Brewer Barry Norman is still brewing 10 quality ales, lagers, wheat beers, stouts and various other seasonal specialities as the mood takes him.
