Cefalu is located within the boundaries of the Parco Delle Madonnie, a 40,000 hectare nature reserve containing splendid mountain landscapes, ancient villages and numerous hiking trails. The Park is a botanic paradise possessing more than half of the 2600 species known to Sicily within its confines. Cefalu is a perfect base for exploring the islands most important sites, such as Agrigentos Valley of the Temples, Syracuse and Monreals famed cathedral.
