[mehr]The Monte Rosa Hotel in Chiavari, established since 1909, is an ongoing family concern owned by the Bacigalupo family, who, with a strong sense of commitment, have transformed this once small restaurant "trattoria", well known for the local Genoese specialities, into the present day hotel that is well known throughout the Italian Riviera and in particular the Gulf of Tigullio.
Today it has become one of the most renowned Ligurian hotels, that is opened all year round, offering warm hospitality and comfort to those tourists, Italian and foreign, who come to admire and enjoy the scenic beauties of the nearby Cinque Terre, Portofino, Camogli, Sestri Levante and the sights of Genoa, regional capital with its Aquarium and fascinating historical town centre, a vibrant labyrinth of lanes "Carrugi" that twist and turn from the Ferrari Square to the port area of "Caricamento", and of course Chiavari itself, an easily accessible coastal town with portico lined streets, yacht & boat marina, promenade, quaint restaurants and coffee bars that make it an interesting and pleasant place to stay.
