[mehr]Looking for a magnificent sea view just a few steps away from the beach? All six very spacious rooms at 4-Star Berg en Zee Guesthouse have stunning views from their own private balconies.
Accommodation with plenty of space:
Whichever room you choose, you will be able to watch the waves lap up onto the beach and hear the sound of the gentle surf on the seashore from your private balcony. Our amazing views stretching across False Bay towards Table Mountain and Devil’s Peak are in great demand among visitors to Gordon’s Bay. You can also enjoy the sight of the Hottentots Holland mountain range – particularly in the glow of the setting sun’s reflection.
The rooms are unusually spacious and all have a sitting area, air conditioning and en-suite bathroom with bath and shower. No two rooms are the same. They are all furnished and decorated in keeping with the style of this classically elegant building. There are three double rooms and three family rooms (which can easily accommodate four people).
Other facilities include TV with satellite channels, tea and coffee making facilities, fridge, wall safe, hairdryer, ceiling fan, toiletries and luxurious white linen. Free wireless internet is available in all rooms.
Facilities and services to make you feel at home:
Your hosts, Jackie and Glenn, are always on hand to make sure that each day of your stay is a special one. Glenn is a registered tour guide with in-depth knowledge of all the attractions of the Western Cape. He will gladly give advice on day trips and even take you hiking on the mountain behind the guesthouse. He is also a budding artist and has a permanent exhibition in the dining room!
Jackie will make sure that you start the day with a hearty breakfast and, on request, will prepare packed lunches for you. In the evening, you can choose from a selection of home-made meals which are ready to warm in the microwave.
In reception, a dedicated PC is provided for guests. A free 24-hour Internet connection allows you to check your e-mails and surf the Net at your leisure.
The deliciously cool wine cellar has been converted into a guest lounge with a TV and DVD player and a selection of movies, games and books for those times when you just feel like staying in and relaxing.
Ample parking is provided outside the guesthouse and it is possible to access the ground floor rooms without using any stairs.
