[mehr]Located in the building of make-up giant Max Factor the Hollywood Museum offers more than 38.000 ft of exhibition space full of memorabilia from the world of entertainment.
Starting on the ground floor with an exhibition from the old Max Factor museum there are four further floors to explore. To be seen are the first ever Technicolor film that has been shot, costumes worn by stars such as Marilyn Monroe, Bette Davis, Rita Hayworth and others, as well as the plaster face masks from Clark Gable, Humphrey Bogart and Anthony Hopkins. Further there are vintage photos, props, posters and Hannibal Lectors (Silence of the Lambs and Red Dragon) prison cell block and much more.
The whole collection features more than 10.000 exhibits, some of which date back to the silent movie era.
