Just a short stroll from the bustle of Saint Catherine's Square, you find yourself on the quiet cobbled street that leads to Hôtel l'Écrin. Set behind tall gates and fronted by a large courtyard, Hôtel l'Écrin was once a grand home and it retains that feel today. The decor, to say the least, is flamboyant-red velvet and gilt, lavishly applied, the most fancy French furniture, a multitude of paintings of all sizes and descriptions, and a wide assortment of decorations. The same lavish taste extends to all 26 bedrooms in the main house where several large high-ceilinged rooms are decorated ornately. The bathrooms are modern and well equipped. On either side of the courtyard are additional, less ornate bedrooms. There is a private parking (closed at night). The hotel accepts major credit cards.
