[06.02.2010] The Parque Natural de Montesinho is situated in one of the wildest areas of Europe, between Braganca in northern Portugal and Spain. The granite landscape is vast and interwoven with crystal clear rivers and lakes. Sometimes if you are lucky you can catch a glimpse of the red coated Iberian wolf roaming through the forests. Little villages and farms are scattered amongst the lower slopes of the Serra de Montesinho as are golden meadows, forests of sweet chestnuts and very old oak trees with thick, gnarled trunks.

[06.02.2010] Parque Natural do Alvao is in the north west of Portugal, north of Vila Real and one of Portugal's smallest natural parks. The park spreads across the ridge of the Serra de Alvao and between the rivers Tamega and Corgo. On the lower slopes you will come across long horned-cattle herded by farmers who live in small stone houses with thatched roofs. The higher slopes of the hills of Alvao are wild, rugged and incredibly beautiful.

[23.01.2010] Restaurante O Policia is one of the oldest restaurants in Lisbon and has been around since 1900. There is a story that says this restaurant was often frequented by members of the PSP (Policia de Seguranca - Public Security Police). These officers who were responsible for the safety of Lisbon's citizens could often be found sitting at its tables drinking wine and eating huge platefuls of home-cooked Portuguese cuisine.
