[mehr]The Apartments RIO are situtaed in the Old Town - the historical heart of Prague -on Melantrichova street (Golden Tourist Way) - small street connecting the Wenceslas Square and the most famous Old Town Square through the historical part of the city. The history of the square goes back to the 10th century, when the place was one of the favourite market places in the developing town of Prague. Nowadays the square is filled with tourists, terraces, restaurants, cafs, souvenir shops and galleries. It is also the starting point for the horse drawn carriage rides or meeting place for different city tours. Step into the Old Town Square in Prague and journey back in time, 600 or 700 years. As you stand in awe, the dramatic history of Prague permeates the air. The Old Town Square is one of two main squares in the city centre (the other one is Wenceslas Square, 5 minutes walk away). The Old Town Squares most notable sights are the Church of Our Lady before Tyn, the Old Town Hall Tower and Astronomical Clock and the stunning St. Nicholas Church. The Apartments RIO are close to Metro stop Mustek (Line A B) and also to tram station. Around the RIO Apartments you can find lots of Resaturants, Caffes and shops.
