[mehr]The Museum of Architecture is situated in Rotermann’s Salt Storage building, which dates back to 1908. The Rotermann's Salt Storage is one of the grandest limestone structures in the Rotermann district. The museum itself was established in 1991 and was first placed in one of the medieval Towers in Old Town. Later, in 1996 it moved to the Rottermann district.
Its collection includes architects' personal collections, collection of models and furniture. Some of them are permanent and some are temporary. Permanent collections are devoted to Estonian architectural development, while temporary ones reflect the ideas of architectural movements.
The museum is also a member of the International Confederation of Architectural Museums. It hosts a library with over 5000 architecture books and magazines too.
This attraction is free of charge to visit, when using a Tallinn Card.
