This once tiny hamlet was founded in the XVI century to satisfy the housing needs of workers in the nearby vineyard. The vineyard by the way still exists and guided tours are offered of its' antique bodegas, many of which now operate as restaurants serving local cuisine. For those who seek an active nightlife, a metro stop on line U3 can be found only 5 minutes away.
