Kościół św. Jakuba Apostoła należy do jednych z najstarszych, a zarazem najcenniejszych, bo zachowanych w pierwotnym stylu, zabytków miasta należy kościół św. Jakuba, pochodzi z XIV wieku i wchodził w skład budowli obronnych. W czasie najazdu szwedzkiego został częściowo spalony. Po odbudowie ponownie uległ spaleniu. Odbudowano go dopiero po 1945 roku. Na wieży kościoła znajdują się dwa, XIX wieczne zegary słoneczne.

Kościół wybudowany został w XV wieku a w latach 1591-1600 dobudowano do niego wieżę w stylu gotyckim. Kiedyś kościół był główną świątynią Nowego Miasta. W 1524 r. kościół przejęła gmina protestancka.

Bei der Galeria Handlowa Madison handelt es sich um ein Einkaufszentrum am Rande der Altstadt von Danzig. Auf vier Etagen bieten circa 1.000 Geschäfte alle Waren des täglichen Bedarfs an. Außerdem können verschiedene Restaurants und Cafes besucht werden. Für Kinder ist ein großer Spielplatz eingerichtet und für die Erwachsenen befindet sich im Obergeschoss ein Fitnesszentrum. Die Ausstattung des Einkaufszentrums erinnert mit verschiedenen Skulpturen an Personen und Erzählungen aus der Geschichte Danzigs. Für motorisierte Besucher steht eine Tiefgarage zur Verfügung. Die Handelsgalerie ist montags bis samstags von 9.00 Uhr bis 21.00 Uhr und sonntags von 10.00 Uhr bis 20.00 Uhr geöffnet.

Das ländlich eingerichtete Restaurant Swojski Smak eröffnete im Jahr 2000 im Stadtzentrum von Danzig. Insgesamt stehen 130 Plätze zur Verfügung. Die Räume können für Empfänge oder Parties gemietet werden. Die Küche bietet den Gästen traditionelle polnische Gerichte mit Einflüssen aus ganz Europa. Die Große Mühle, oder "Wielki Mlyn" wie es auf Polnisch heißt, befindet sich auf der Radauneinsel. Dieses siebenstöckige Gebäude wurde im Jahr 1350 vom Deutschen Orden erbaut und galt damals als die größte Mühle von Europa. Heute ist der Bau der größte noch erhaltene mittelalterliche Gewerbebetrieb Europas. Während der Herrschaftszeit des Deutschen Ordens konnte ganz Danzig von dieser Mühle aus, mit Brot versorgt werden. Bis zu der Zerstörung des Hauses im Jahre 1945 waren sowohl der Backofen als auch die Mühlräder fast 600 Jahre durchgehend in Betrieb. Heute sieht die Außenfassade der Mühle unverändert aus, aber im Inneren befindet sich ein Shoppingcenter mit über 60 verschiedenen Shops. Die Geschäfte bieten eine Auswahl an kosmetischen Produkten und diversen Modeartikeln an.

Das Wielka Zbrojownia (dt.: Große Zeughaus) wurde von 1601-1609 erbaut. Der Bau wurde notwendig, weil die Stadt einen baldigen schwedischen Angriff befürchtete und dafür große Lagerkapazitäten für Waffen und Lebensmittel benötigte. Planungsarchitekt war der Holländer Anton van Obbergen, ausgeführt wurde der Bau jedoch von Hans Strakowski. Das Gebäude vermittelt nach näherer Betrachtung den falschen Eindruck, dass es aus vier getrennten Häusern bestehe. Das Haus brannte 1945 aus und wurde in den Jahren 1947-1965 wieder aufgebaut. Die oberen Stockwerke werden von der Kunsthochschule benutzt. Im Erdgeschoss befindet sich ein Lebensmittelgeschäft.

Soldek is the first ocean-going vessel built by the Polish shipyard industry. She was designed by a team of Polish engineers and built at the Gdansk Shipyard in 1947. Visitors can see the original and now historic construction of the ship, including details of the engineering as well as internal quarters for the crew and parts of the ship operations. There are also displays relating to the history of the ship. Tuesday - Sunday 10:00-15:00 CLOSED MONDAYS! Das "Uphagen House" erinnert an das prachtvolle Gdansk: es ist das Haus eines wohlhabenden Kaufmannes aus dem 18. Jahrhundert, welches fast unverändert bis zur Zerstörung im Jahr 1945 blieb. Dann wurde es samt Inneneinrichtung rekonstruiert. Auf Bildschirmen kann man das Alltagsleben sehen.

The Bazylika Mariacka dates to the 14th century but was severely damaged in World War II, during the storming of Danzig City by the Red Army in March 1945. Fortunately, most of the artworks from the interior survived, as they were evacuated for safekeeping to the villages surrounding the city. The reconstruction started shortly after the war in 1946 and is an ongoing effort which continues to this day. This church is one of the major attractions of Gdansk and, as it is located in the heart of the historic Main Town, easily incorporated into any tour. St. Marys Church or, properly, Basilica of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Gdansk, is the largest brick church in the world and one of the largest Brick Gothic buildings in Europe. It is over 100 m long, and the nave is 66 m wide. Inside the church is room for 25,000 people. The main museum-type galleries as well as admin offices of Polish Maritime Museum are located in a block of old granaries on Olowianka (Lead Island) on Motlawa river, in the heart of the old port of Gdansk. The building contains permanent exhibitions on Polish maritime history; maritime paintings from French, Dutch, Flemish schools and from Poland; underwater archeology and diving as well as temporary exhibitions.
